Us is actually just me. With some moral support from my family.
I've been designing for a few years now, and have been crocheting since late 1994, just before our first child was due. I did want her to have a crocheted baby afghan, and taught myself to crochet for that reason. After that, I just kept going. And going...
Individual patterns here are of my own design, please follow copyright laws.
Although you may not:
Redistribute the pattern itself in any way shape or form, whether free or for sale, alone or in a kit form...this means posting the pattern in its entirety on another site is a BIG no-no, please post the link ONLY. This goes for pictures as well, my pictures are not to be used on other websites. Now and then, I have seen someone 'steal' pictures from magazines/websites, post them on their own and advertise that they're selling the finished item. Believe it or not, using someone else's picture without permission is still infringing on copyright and can get you in hot water. Besides, if your work isn't quite as good as that in the original picture, your buyer could get mighty peeved and you could find your name posted on twitter/blogs/facebook/other social sites in a not so positive way.
You MAY make several of an item from my pattern and sell the finished item at a craft fair as long as the pattern is not included. Because I also sell my finished items online, please, no online selling without authorization. (Unless you're requesting to sell on Etsy, I usually do grant permission!)
Simply put, I am me. I love sci-fi and horror (real horror, not gratuitous blood and guts 'horror'), love watching thunderstorms and snow fall...
I have a sense of humour that has thankfully saved me from pulling my hair out several times, and prefer to look on the bright side of things. Which is *almost always* possible.
I am a big Harry Potter fan, but one who has been disappointed more and more with the movies. Mostly in how important scenes are cut to make room for scenes that weren't even in the book and have absolutely no bearing on what happens in the rest of the movie. (cough HalfBloodPrince cough fireattheWeasley's cough)
When I am designing, at times, the ideas come slowly, growing clearer as time goes by. At other times, ideas are like lightning bolts, and it's these ideas that are sometimes my faves! Like my Snot-Nosed Goblin Hat that has been a fairly popular pattern here and on Etsy. I have a couple more wacky hats in mind, the kind that are for show only and no sane person would actually wear them out in public.
But I have never said being sane was fun.
