| Materials needed: steel crochet hook size 1.65mm crochet cotton thread size 10 in yellow and green (try a ‘shaded’ yellow for peaches n cream corn!) magnetic strip Notes: Join at end of each round. Always begin round with a ch 1, does NOT count as first st. With yellow, ch 14. Rnd 1: 2 sc in second st from hook. (Tr in next st, sc in 2) 3 times. Tr in next. 5sc in end ch. Work across opp side of starting ch. (Sc in 2 sts, tr in next) 3 times. Sc in 2 sts, sc in same st as beg 2 sc. Rnd 2: 2sc in same st. (tr in 1 st, sc in 2) 4 times. (2sc in next st, sc in next) twice. (Tr in 1 st, sc in 2) 4 times. [last sc will be worked in same st as beg sc] Rnd 3: 2sc in same st. (tr in 1 st, sc in 2) 4 times. Row 2: (Right side) Ch1, sk 1st st, sl st in next. Sc in 1 st, 2sc in next 2 sts. Hdc in 2sts, (hdc dec) twice. Ch6. Sc in second ch from hook and in next. Hdc in 3chs, working in next sts of rnd 1– (hdc dec) twice, hdc in 2, sc idn 2. 2sc in each of next 2 sts, sl st in 2, FO, leaving remaining sts unworked. For bit of stalk: Right side facing, join green in 11th st on opposite side of stating ch. Sc in next 8 sts, ch1, turn. Row 2: Sk 1 st, sc in next 6 sts, ch1, turn. Row 3: Sk 1 st, sc in next, sl st in next. Ch2, hdc in next st, ch2, sl st in next st, FO. Weave in all ends. Tack husk to corn as shown in picture. Glue magnetic strip to back. |
