I used a G hook (4.5mm) and worsted weight yarn in 2 colours.
1. With colour A, ch4, ss to join.
2. ch3, 15 more dc in ring, join.
3. ch4 . (dc + ch1) around, join.
4. ss into ch1 space. Ch3, tr between 2 dc of round 2 below. (dc in dc and in ch1 space, tr between 2 dc of rnd 2) around. End with dc in joining of rnd 3, sl st to top of ch 3.
5. ch4. (dc in next 2 dc, ch1, sk tr) around. End with dc in last st, join. FO colour A.
6. Join white in any ch1 space. Ch3. working in front of round 5, tr in skipped tr of round 4, dc in same space as ch3. *(hdc in 2 dc, dc in tr of round 4) 3 times. Hdc in 2 dc. ++ Dc in next space, working in front of round 5, tr in skipped tr of round 4, dc in same space as dc. Repeat from * around twice, then from * to ++ once. Join, FO.
7. Join raspberry in tr of any corner. Ch3, 4 dc in same st. *dc in next 3 sts, hdc in 2, sc in 3, hdc in next 2, dc in 3. ++ 5 dc in corner tr. * Repeat * to * twice, then from * to ++ once. Join, FO.
Note: for 7" square, add 1 more round in dc, working 5 dc in each corner st.
