Materials:
steel crochet hook, US size 6 (1.6mm), size 10 cotton

This is a basic filet piece, always ch3 for the first dc in each row. Follow the chart,
working right to left on odd rows, left to right on even.
beg bl = 4 dc (x)
bl = 2dc in space, dc in dc. (x)
space = dc, ch 2 sk 2, dc in next (o)

Ch 27, dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across.Turn, ch 3, dc in next 3 sts.
(ch2, sk2, dc in next) across. Dc in last four sts. Turn, follow chart for remainder,
starting row 3:
At end of row 29, do not FO.  For BORDER: ch4, dc in top of last dc of row
29. Work down long side: **dc, ch1, dc (V-st) in each row down. Work v
stitch in corner stitch. (sk2 sts, V-st in next) across [you will sk 1 st at end
of row instead of 2]. V-st in corner. Repeat from ** across last side and
end. Join to 3rd ch of ch4. FO, weave in ends.
