| Materials: worsted weight yarn in pig colour crochet hook size 3.75 mm small circle of cardboard small amount cotton balls or polyester stuffing piece of magnetic strip Do not join rounds, mark 1st stitch with stitch marker, or with piece of yarn in contrasting colour. 1. Ch2, 8sc in 2nd ch from hook. 2. 2 sc in each stitch. 3. (Sc in first st, 2 sc in next) around. 4. (sc in 2 sts, 2 sc in next) around. 5. (sc in 3 sts, 2 sc in next) around. Join. 6. Work this round in back loops only. Ch 1, sc in same st and in each stitch around. 7. Sc around. 8. Sc in 1st (dec, sc in next 3) around. Sc in last 2. 9. (dec, sc in next 2) around. Insert piece of cardboard, either weaving in beginning thread, or tucking it between crochet and cardboard. 10. (dec, sc in next) around. Stuff. 11 & 12. Dec around. FOR TAIL: ch7. 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each chain. Join to 1st stitch of round 12. FO, weave in ends. FOR LEGS: make 2 Ch 10, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch. Work 4 sc in end ch. On opposite side of starting ch, sc back to 1st st. FO. Leave about 6" for attaching leg to body. Fold piece in half, wrong sides together, sew joined ends to body at round 7. Weave in ends. FOR EARS: Hold magnet with tail facing you. Join with ss, about 4 sts to right of top centre in unworked loops of round 5. Ch 1. (sc, hdc) in next. Ch 2, ss in next 4 sts. Ch2 (hdc, sc) in next stitch. Ch 2, ss in next st. FO, weave in ends. Glue magnetic strip to back. |
