Simply Filet Bookmark Sally Ives, May 2003

Thank you to Lenora for pointing out an error.  The graph is correct, but instructions for rows 2-4 were wrong.  I have corrected the errors.

Simply Filet Bookmark (pictured on left) Sally Ives Materials: Bedspread weight (size 10) crochet cotton, I used Clea from Circulo Yarns steel hook size 1.00 mm Basic filet:  After starting stitch:  ; bl=3dc.  bl over sp=2dc in sp, dc in next dc. Sp=ch2, sk 2 sts, dc in next.   Work odd rows right to left, even rows left to right. NOTE:  To follow chart: diamonds are blocks, circles are spaces. Instructions: Ch 28 to start, dc in 5th ch from hook and in each ch across. (25 dc) Row 2& 3:   Ch 3 for first double crochet, dc in next 9 sts.  (ch2, sk2 sts, dc in next) twice.   Dc in last 9 sts. Row 4:   Ch 3, dc in next 3 sts   (Ch2, sk 2, dc in next) twice. Dc in 6 sts.   (Ch2, sk 2, dc in next) twice, dc in last 3 sts.  Continue following graph, FO at end, weave in ends.
