	Sally's square #1 Small amount worsted weight yarn G (4.5mm) hook My square turned out to be 7", your tension may be different and you may need to change hook size. Always join with a slip stitch. To begin: Ch 5, join with a slip stitch. Rnd. 1: Chain 3, 15 more DC in ring, join to top of chain 3. Rnd 2: Ch 4 (counts as dc + ch1) dc, ch 1 in each stitch around. Join in 3rd chain of ch 4. Rnd 3: sl st into ch 1 sp.  Ch 3, dc in same sp, ch 1. 2 dc, ch 1 in each sp around. Join in top of ch 3. Rnd 4:; ch 1, sc in same st. sc in each dc + ch around. Join. (48 sc) Rnd 5: Ch 4, 4 tr in sm stitch. dc in next 2 st, hdc in 2, sc in next 3, hdc in 2, dc in 2, ** 5 tr in next (corner).* Repeat from * to * 2 more times, then from * to ** once. Join to top of ch 4. Rnd 6: Slip st to centre of corner, ch 3, 4 dc in same st.; *dc in next 2, then 3 hdc, 5 sc, 3 hdc 1 dc across to next corner. ** 5 dc in 3rd st of corner.* Repeat from * to * twice more, then from * to ** once.; Join to top of ch 3. Rnd 7: sl t to centre of corner. Ch 1, 3 sc in same st. sc in next 5, hdc in next 2, dc in 5 sc, hdc in 2 stitches, sc in next 5* Repeat from * to * 3 more times, join to first sc. Rnd 8: sl st into next st. ch 1, 3 sc in same stitch. Sc in each stitch around, working 3 sc in each centre of 3sc corner. Join. Fasten off.
