Materials:
worsted weight yarn in 2 colours, I used pink and cream
crochet hook size G 4.25mm
Notes: Rnds are joined. Always start rounds of sc with ch1. Does not count as first st, sc in same st to begin. Always start rounds of dc with ch3, DOES count as first st.
FPDC: YO. Insert hook front to back around post of specified st. Continue as with a regular dc.
FPTR: YO twice. Insert hook front to back around post of specified st. Continue as with a regular tr.
Rnd 1: With pink, Ch4. 11dc in 4th ch from hook. Sl st in top of ch4 to join. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: (dc, FPDC) in each st around. (20)
Rnd 3: *Dc in dc, (dc, FPDC) in FPDC. Repeat from * around. (36)
Rnd 4: *Dc in 2dc. (2dc, FPTR, 2dc) in FPDC [corner made]. (dc in 2dc, FPDC in FPDC) twice. Repeat from * around. FO.
Rnd 5: Join cream in any corner FPTR. *3sc in corner FPTR, sc in each st across side. Repeat from * around. (60)
Rnd 6: Sc in 1 st. *(tr, sc, tr) in centre corner st. (sc in 1 st, tr in next) across to next centre st of corner. (sc, tr, sc) in centre corner st. (tr in 1 st, sc in next) across to next corner st. Repeat from * around.
Join pink in any st.
Rnd 7&8: Dc in each st around, working 5dc in each corner st.
